I recently had the pleasure of being invited to Shanghai to take part in two major EOS events, one hosted by EOS Gravity and one hosted by EOS Cannon, Cybex, Wancloud, and JRR Crypto. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my hosts and the whole community for welcoming us and to acknowledge the incredible enthusiasm surrounding EOS in China. I had the pleasure of nurturing many new friendships, and look forward to growing these many relationships.
May 19th: Global EOS Supernode Summit 2018
I was invited to represent EOS Canada at an event hosted by EOS Gravity on May 19th. I was astounded by the incredible crowd they were able to bring in, over 60 Block Producer Candidates from around the globe, media outlets, investors, and EOS community members. I felt that meeting face-to-face with many others so close to launch will help to build the trust we all need in each other to ensure a smooth and successful start to the EOS platform.
I was asked to be on a panel of overseas Block Producers, which was moderated by Myra from EOS Gravity. This was really exciting, and I appreciate being offered the chance to talk directly with many from the Chinese and global community. I want to also personally thank Ocean Liao, the founder of EOS Gravity for putting on this spectacular event.
The event was followed by a remarkable dinner where I had the pleasure to get to know many of the other teams who will help to launch and support EOS. Everyone I met was very welcoming, and I had some deep discussions where
May 20th: EOS Overseas BP Candidates Sharing Salon
The next day, May 20th, I was asked to make a presentation at an event hosted by EOS Cannon. We were amazed at the incredible following that EOS Cannon has been able to create. They are doing an incredible job to educate and excite the Chinese population about EOS! They hosted a panel of Chinese Block Producers, where overseas Block Producers were able to ask questions of them to better understand the community that they have built. It was very insightful and helpful. A special thank you to Larry Ma, from EOS Cannon, for running this event, and to Cybex, Wancloud and JRR Crypto for helping to put it together!
I would like to formally re-thank everyone whom we met on this trip, for both taking the time to chat with me, and for making me feel so welcome and part of the EOS family in China! This is just the beginning and I’m incredibly excited to see what we’ll all build together in the future.
